Pats!

Ethan enjoyed seeing the Pats win the AFC championship yesterday. . . almost as much as he enjoyed his gametime snacks. What accompanies a football game better than ribs and Bud Light?
. . . and some ice cream for dessert (of course!).
Go Pats!!

Ethan's First Birthday Party

We celebrated Ethan's birthday with a party yesterday afternoon. Both sets of grandparents, Uncle Pauly and Auntie Kiki, and many friends were there.

The Birthday Boy with both his grandmas (and a new face he's been making lots lately):
The Stockwell-Magyar clan:
A special birthday hat and bib:
Ethan loved his first taste of cupcake:
It was a really fun afternoon, and a special celebration of Ethan's first birthday. We were thrilled that so many of our close friends and family could make it. Some of our party-goers had an especially good time...

One

Today is Ethan's First Birthday!

It's hard to believe that a year has come and gone. He has changed so much!

Ethan's birthday party isn't until tomorrow, but he got a special birthday visit from Noni this afternoon. She helped him open his presents and took him on a walk while Mom and Dad prepped for the party.

Ethan doesn't remember, but Noni was there on his actual birth-day too...
Happy Birthday Ethan!

Ethan's First Overseas Adventure

Despite the title of this post, you won't see many pictures of Ethan here, since he spent most of the trip in a lovely but apparently germ-filled nursery while Mom and Dad enjoyed a week on the picturesque slopes of the French Alps. It was a wonderful trip, with 11 Magyars (or Magyar-Stockwells) and 3 "adopted" Magyars. Here are the the 11 of us on New Years Eve:

And Liz with the 3 "adopted" Magyars partaking in one of our favorite pre-, during-, and apres-ski activities, sitting out in the sunshine enjoying a coffee, beer, or vin chaud:

It's hard to appropriately capture the grandeur of the scenery on film, but a few shots of the mountains (and the skiiers):
And although we couldn't watch the Pats destroy (ok, that's generous) the Giants on Saturday night, Ethan and Auntie Kiki were there in spirit, clearly helping push them to victory.

Sledding

We are a little behind in our posts after a whirlwind tour of Maine (for Christmas) and the French Alps (for New Years), so bear with the dated pictures/updates. We'll post pictures from France in a bit, but first had to share pictures of Ethan's first sledding experience, in Grandma and Grandpa Stockwell's backyard over the Christmas weekend. As you can see, Mom and Dad had a lot more fun sledding than Ethan did - I'm not sure he's ready for sledding just yet...
