New York State of Mind

While Ben and Ethan helped close up camp in Waterford this weekend, Adam and I headed to the Big Apple to visit Uncle Pauly and celebrate my good friend Kristin's engagement. Although I was reminded that flying with an on-the-go almost-one year old can be an exhausting experience, Adam was a little trooper, enduring planes, trains, automobiles, and skipped naps with very few complaints. I am pretty sure Adam will be a Manhattanite one day - this country bumpkin was enthralled by the sounds and sights of the big city. And his Mom REALLY enjoyed getting her city fix, catching up with old friends, and eating her way around the Lower East Side. Uncle Pauly had our epicurean adventure planned from fish tacos for lunch on Friday through to dim sum yesterday afternoon. It was all delicious, and Adam enjoyed tasting lots of new treats. I didn't take too many pictures, but here is the little urbanite enjoying some dim sum:
And here is how we both felt yesterday on our way back home:
A weekend in the big city leaves us country folk all tuckered out!

What a cutie (and I love his hair, I'm still obsessed) -- I think I agree with you. I can see Adam being the one to make the break and head out to the big city.
