Lake Living

We've been fortunate to spend many of our summer weekends to date at the lake.  With two weekends of visits with Auntie Gwen and family, and this past weekend's annual Fourth of July extravaganza, we have many pictures to share! 

Cousin love.  We miss these boys so much already.

These two get along really well.  I love watching the biggest cousin/littlest cousin dynamic.

Although watching all four of them together is pretty entertaining too.  These boys love exploring and making mischief together.

Both boys are learning to kayak on their own.  Ethan can now take a boat out solo, but Adam, to his chagrin, still needs company in his boat.

Our Fourth costume this year: Star Wars.  With Star Wars being the obsession du jour in our house, Yoda, Princess Leia, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Darth Vader seemed an obvious choice.

And the other cousins realize the shade of the tennis hut is a grand idea.  Ella also dressed as (her interpretation of) Princess Leia.  As we were getting ready, she told me, "I am a prettier princess than you."  I have to agree.

And in Waterford, we are lucky enough to be a part of not one, but TWO Fourth of July parades.  Here we are on the Stockwell family float in the town parade. 

Fishing off Grandpa's boat was a success for all!

"I did it!"  Adam's swimming (and his confidence in his swimming) is off to a great start this summer.  Here he is proudly conquering the swim to Turtle Rock all on his own.
