Wow - days fly into weeks and suddenly it's mid-November! We are enjoying a treat of a day with 64 degree temps and unfettered sunshine. Unfortunately, that sun is already setting - boo for daylight savings time. We've been making the most of these shorter days though - playing outside sans snowsuits as much as possible, planting bulbs, raking leaves, building more compost piles (silly me thought one only needed a single compost pile but I guess I was wrong!), and counting worms. Yes, I said counting worms. Ben has completed not one, not two, but three worm censuses in the past few days. Apparently, the number of worms in your soil indicates how nutrient-dense the soil is, and early reports show our soil is not up to snuff. As far as I know, there has not been a worm census spreadsheet created to date - I'm sure that will come.
We've also been busy buying and selling cars - we sold our old Jetta and replaced it with a Mazda 3 last weekend. Our garage now looks like a Mazda showroom, except the cars are way dirtier (well the new one is still pretty clean, but I am sure that will be short-lived). The boys have been their usual wild and crazy selves and we've enjoyed having a few weekends playing at home before the holiday fun begins. They were being little hams at breakfast yesterday morning, so I snapped a few shots. Please excuse the snot- and food-encrusted faces.

Those are ridiculously cute pics of the boys. Super duper sweet.
Congratulations on the new car - and all the worms.
