Funtime in the Sunshine State

Apologies in advance for the plenitude of pictures - our six days in Florida were packed with fun and adventure (with a healthy dose of relaxation and lounging around mixed in).  We had near perfect weather, which allowed for lots of time in the great outdoors.  And while this winter has hardly packed any punch at all, it was still a nice change to let the sun touch our bare skin and to be outside from morning 'til night.  So I'll keep the narrative short, except to say that the family vacations keep getting better and better as the boys get older and the work-to-fun balance shifts more and more in our favor.  This was perhaps our best family vacation yet, and despite feeling a bit worn out from ten hours of travel and 2 AM bedtimes yesterday, we're all glowing and trying to keep those vacation vibes flowing through the weekend.
This is how we roll these days.
The view from our lanai - scenic and peaceful
...and filled with exciting wildlife.
Day 1: The first ever Red Sox spring training game at the brand new Fenway South
Our seats in the "bleachers".   This is my kind of way to watch a ballgame.
The boys were most excited about multiple Wally sightings.
And ice cream.
Day 1, Part 2: Post-game visit with Uncle Mark and Aunt Sandy -
lots of pool time (and joining forces to defeat the godfather).
Day 2: Naples Zoo.  Lots of animal pictures,
but thought you'd prefer shots of these monkeys instead.

Day 3: Date night (with kids).  Mini-golf...
and dinner out.
It was a tourist trap, but there were kids' menus, crayons, seats outside,
and someone else doing the cooking, so I'm not complaining.
Day 4: Mom and Dad biked while the little princes rode in their chariot.
All ready to go, dressed in their new Florida duds
The bike chauffeurs stopped at two playgrounds...
scenic boardwalks...

and ended with a sunset picnic.
And all the days in between: beach, pool, more beach, more pool, repeat.

It all looks so fun! The sand at the beach looks particularly inviting...

Looks fabulous! The Naples zoo was a hit w/ Hannah when we were there as well. So jealous of your trip - somehow I think the milder winter is making it even harder to wait for spring!
